Another newly gelded captive Calico mustang died last week at the BLM feedlot in Fallon, Nevada, ostensibly as a result of complications from his castration. But in his refusal to conduct a necropsy to determine precisely what it was that killed the 15-year-old horse (Tag #1442) who was euthemistically "found dead," the BLM's veterinarian, Dr. Richard Sanford, apparently seeks to deflect further criticism of his medical procedures by sloughing off this death, rather than investigating it. Either that, or he really doesn't want to know why it happened.
