More than 1,220 readers of TheHorse.com responded to a poll asking, "What are you most worried about for the future in the equine industry?"

Results were as follows: 

• Unwanted horses 57.63% (706)
• Rising costs of owning horses 51.43% (630)
• Loss of equestrian spaces 33.71% (413)
• Parasite resistance 11.35% (139)
