American Wild Horse Preservation Campaign
Ely, Nevada (January 24, 2011) Despite a cost-effective alternative on the table, the BLM commenced the massive Antelope Complex roundup began yesterday morning. BLM reports that 43 horses were captured during the first day of the roundup. Over the next six weeks, over 2,000 wild horses will removed from this 1.3 million acre public lands area in northeastern Nevada.
On Saturday, photographer and wild horse advocate Laura Leigh captured the last day of freedom for this beautiful band in the Antelope Herd Management Area.
