Resurrecting a four-year old post......

Havasupai Falls, Arizona

Many of you have been upset over the treatment of animals at Havasupai Falls in northern Arizona. We have gotten SOME resolution to the problem.

Please see the following comment.

"The new Animal Control for Havasupai is working hard to improve conditions for the animals. And, although there is still more to be done, things have gotten better over the past couple years. Horses who have medical issues are moved to a special pen where they are given treatment by vets who visit the area.
If anyone sees cruelty or neglect please do three things:
1. Take notes and photos! Everyone needs to be on the same page and photos will help with that. ("Skinny" means different things to different people and it is hard for an ACO to make an official determination, or identify a specific animal, without photos.) Take as many notes as possible about the incident - the more info you can share, the better.
2. Alert the local authorities! Be sure to file a complaint at the time with members of the Tribe.
3. Contact Animal Control as soon as possible!
