BLM Launches Roundup during Foaling Season in Jackson Mountains HMA

The Bureau of Land Management’s (BLM’s) Jackson Mountains roundup, which began on June 8, 2012, is perhaps the most egregious BLM action in years. Conducted during peak foaling season, this roundup is subjecting tiny foals, pregnant and nursing mares and vulnerable horses compromised from inadequate water and forage to helicopter stampedes over miles of rugged terrain in summer desert heat.   Read more here.
