I wanted to give everyone an update on the fire in the Coronado Forest this afternoon and evening that had many of us evacuating animals from 1:30 until about 7PM.

At this time all animals have been evacuated and accounted for.  One horse has been severely burned and is under medical care at this time to see if he will survive.  His head and all his private areas have been burned along with numerous spots on his body.

HorseNAround Rescue Ranch & Foundation has this horse as part of their rescue program.  They have lost all of their 160 acre pasture that they were dependent on to feed the horses.

They are in need of monies to pay for the hay they will need along with the feed for the horses with their special diets.

Please see their website listed below and you will see the beautiful mountain that is now ALL burned all with many of the horses in their program.

A big thank you to everyone who came with trucks and trailers to evacuate all the animals.  Most all of the horses belonged to HorseNaround Rescue Ranch and Foundation along with a few horses and alpacas from other individuals on the mountain.

Attached is a picture of Charlie Horse who is the horse that was burned as he ran back into the fire.

Please help this organization by donating at their website for the needed feed or you can make donations via the Care For The Horses website and we will forward the monies to them.

Please pass this along as help will desperately be needed to feed these 21 animals.  About 5 of the mules they have came to them from the Care For The Horses program.

Thank you!
