Neglected horses rescued north of Scottsdale

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. - The Maricopa County Sheriff's Office is investigating a possible case of animal abuse just north of Scottsdale in Rio Verde.
Deputies were called out there on reports of malnourished horses.
One of the horses is in such bad shape, it may have to be put down.
The owners of the horses are being questioned and may be arrested.
