No Roundup Yet For Cloud's Herd

From the Cloud Foundation
Dear Supporters,
We are here in Lovell, Wyoming where the roundup of the Pryor Herd was supposed to begin today. However, the BLM has agreed to a two-day delay for our court case to be heard in Federal District Court in Washington DC tomorrow, September 2. This roundup could begin on Thursday unless our request for an injunction is granted- please don't stop making calls and writing letters on behalf of this herd and all wild horses. Be prepared to be inspired: read Congressman Raul Grijalva's fantastic letter calling for the immediate suspension of this roundup and all roundups of America's wild horses and burros on our homepage.

Two days ago atop the mountain, we spent some time observing a foal who is only a few days old. This filly would be in grave danger if any roundup operations begin. There are other foals who are just a few weeks old too. The range is still green, even in late August and the horses are fat. Read more in our latest press release and please help by getting this out to the media.

NEW YOUTUBES: A Member of the Crow Tribe of Indians, Elder and Historian Howard Boggess speaks about the Pryor Mountain Wild Horses he's known his whole life and the need to save them. Join Howard on the mountaintop in this powerful piece. And watch Julianne French explain who has been hired to round up Cloud's herdin this second new YouTube piece.

We'll keep you updated. Thanks for all you are doing, we need to stop this unnecessary roundup from even starting!

Happy Trails,
Ginger Kathrens
Volunteer Executive Director
