Greetings everyone,

Hearing on Calico Mountains Complex gather held today

The Hearing scheduled in the lawsuit filed by In Defense of Animals, wildlife biologist Craig Downer, and joined by Nevada author Terri Farley, was held today.



The Judge heard arguments by lawyers from both sides.  No ruling was made.



The Judge's decision on the case is expected in the next few days.


Buckhorn Wild Horses



In the meantime, the BLM conducted a clandestine roundup of the Buckhorn Wild Horses, originally scheduled to begin in August 2010.


Discovery of and investigations into the shooting deaths of six federally protected wild horses on the California-Nevada border exposed the surprise roundup by the BLM of over 200 horses under wintry conditions, already resulting in the death of one mare. The move is expected to decimate the herd. Read full report and take action >>
