The death of the Warm Springs filly is the last straw

For nine days now, the BLM has told us that a mustang with a stifle injury was being "treated" in a hospital pen at its Indian Lakes Road facility, along with 16 wild horses in "poor condition" and another who is suffering from sole abscesses.  Today, we learned that the horse with the stifle injury was a yearling filly from the Warm Springs Herd Management Area (HMA) of the Calico Mountain Complex in Nevada.  And today, we also learned that she has died at the hands of her captors.
